Season 22, England,
Euro Championship Quals Group B

My first task was to bring in some new backroom staff. Adverts went into the job centre, and I filled all the vacant roles.
I then went through the players I had available and also set my staff out to get some reports for me.

I got through the first friendly unscathed and managed to successfully win the first 3 group games. I finished 2030 with a 2-1 defeat away to Brazil.

The next 3 group games saw me win 2 and lose 1, taking me to the end of the regular season. The defeat was against main group rivals Poland.

Friendly v South Korea – W 2-1

Euro Champ Quals Group B:
Azerbaijan Away W 3-1
Latvia Home W 5-0
Kazakhstan Home W 1-0

Friendly v Brazil – L 2-1

Euro Champ Quals Group B:
Wales Away W 2-1
Poland Home L 2-0
Azerbaijan Home W 8-0

The last win was a nice way to end the ‘regular season’, 3 games to go and I’m hopeful of qualifying for the European Championship finals.

I carried on from where I left off, winning all remaining group games to finish joint top of the group with Poland, however they had a better goal difference so I had to settle for the playoffs. Turkey awaited and I managed to dispatch them with relative ease and so off I went to Belgium.

Season 23, England, European Championships

I was drawn in Group D alongside Ukraine, Sweden and France.
I wasn’t hopeful of getting anything against France so I needed to perform against the others. Managed a draw against Ukraine and a win against Sweden. France had won both of their games, so I was in second place.

A draw would see me through, if I lost, I needed to hope Ukraine didn’t overturn my goal difference. As it was, I got stuffed by France, but Ukraine could only manage a draw.

Quarter finals saw me play Czech Republic. Extra time was needed but I saw them off.
Holland awaited in the semi-final, this time I managed to win in normal time.

So I went to the final, where France’s conqueror’s Serbia awaited. A nervy game but I managed to scrape through and win the game 1-0.

Season 24, Juventus, Serie A

Serie A

At the start of November Juventus approached me with the opportunity to be their manager. As I was missing the day to day actions of managing at club level I took the job, with the intention of leaving my role as England manager after the World Cup, meaning I would have to split my time for 2 seasons. That and the chance to manage one of the worlds truly big clubs doesn’t come along too often so I couldn’t resist.

The club was sat in 6th when I joined with the board wanting me to win the league. The league performance started quite well, 2 defeats from my first 3 games but then I never lost until the end of Jan.

Towards the end of the season I had a few sloppy draws which ultimately cost me the title. Going into the last game I needed a convincing win and also needed AC Milan to lose heavily to try and overturn their goal difference to win the league. I managed a nice 6-0 win but Milan also won denying me the chance to retain the title won last year by my predecessor.

On a more positive note though I managed to win the Copa Italia, beating holders Lazio in the final on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
